HOW TO ORDER

iSteel design, fabricate and install steel products all from our headquarters in Barnsley, South Yorkshire.

This unique market position allows us to provide clients with a bespoke service, meaning that we consider all enquiries and offer a solution where we can.

 

Products

All iSteel products are 100% genuine steel, unless otherwise requested by a client. We offer decorative internal glazed doors and screens, external performance double glazed doors and specialise in Fire Rated products for a decerning clientele.

Enquiry Process

Once an enquiry is received it will be entered into a que for pricing, with the aim to respond with a proposed design and quote within five days.

Quoting Requirements

In order to process a quote we require:

  • Client Name / Company Name
  • Telephone Number
  • Email Address
  • Site Location
  • Description of requirements (Inspirational images / sketches are welcome)
  • Height and Width of the opening (rough dimensions at quoting stage are fine)

ORDER PROCESS

Lead times:
Generally between 12-14 weeks from order confirmation. 2 weeks for survey to take place & up to 12 weeks from Drawing Approval to Install.

To process an order we require:

  • Formal instruction (Email, Telephone or purchase order), a customer order form will be issued for the client to fill in and return to us.
  • Deposit 50% of the total value + VAT payment.
  • Once deposits are received your project will be assigned a project manager with whom you can liaise and a Survey will be arranged (to take precise measurements).
  • Surveys generally take place within two weeks from receipt of Deposit.
  • On survey day, you will receive a phone call from the surveyor at least 30 minutes prior to arrival. Surveys are performed between 8am and 3pm and usually take around 45 minutes.
  • With information taken from your survey and client requirements, DFA’s (Drawings For Approval) are issued which provides all proposed details and sectional drawings for clients to review and approve for fabrication or provide comments for revisions.
  • When a DFA is approved, a comprehensive set of drawings will be issued to the factory with instruction to commence fabrication.
  • Once Fabrication drawings are issued, we will review the fabrication schedule and propose an install date with the client, this usually takes a week or so, but does not effect lead times.
  • Prior to Install Payment Instalment. Upon Install / Delivery date proposal a request  for the next 40% + VAT payment instalment will be requested from the client. Upon receipt of payment, Labour will be allocated to perform the installation as agreed.
  • On install day, the iSteel fitting team generally arrives to site between 8-9am (traffic permitting) and will be on site until the installation is complete.
  • Final Balance. Once the installation is complete a final balance invoice of the remaining 10% + VAT (and any additional addons agreed post order confirmation) will be issued. Final balance invoices are payable upon completion.
